The Gelli plate has arrived.....

Yeah, the Gelli Plate has arrived!!!!!

Have you got yours yet?  Have you got one on order?  If you haven't, why not?  You don't know what you're missing!!!!

For those of you that have been able to visit the NEC this weekend, despite the dreadful snow, you will have seen Barbara in action demonstrating the 6" x 6" Gelli Plate.  Here she is ready for action with her apron on for some messy craft.

Here are a few samples from the NEC made with Barbara's own fair hands to give you an idea of the things that can be produced, but I'm sure that she'll be showing us more in the shows on Create and Craft soon.

Now you can see where all of the new texture plates are going to come in very handy can't you?

Barbara even had a "Clarity" moment and realised that by creating an aperture with a separate
piece of card you could create a scene inside it.  I'm sure she'll be showing us how to do this one!

Don't forget we still have our "ANYTHING GOES" challenge running until 31st March for those that haven't already entered.  Please remember to use Clarity stamps ONLY on your entries though please!

Fun and Frolics at Harrogate

Here's hoping that you all find your own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!  Hope you all enjoy the celebrations and parades today.

********

Well it sounds as though the Harrogate Show is going down a storm.  Reports and stories on Facebook from Barbara and those that have attended are all giving it a glowing report.  I think the breakfast workshop is a favourite with a lot of you and of course the karaoke too!  Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days and I couldn't resist a link to our lovely Linda's karaoke video too (sorry Linda).  Please click here to view.

Why not pop along to see Barbara today at the Great Yorkshire Showground between 09.30 and 16.00 and see the action for yourselves?

Don't forget we've still got our ANYTHING GOES challenge running until 31st March for those that haven't already entered.  Please remember to use Clarity stamps ONLY on your entries though!

Just a little reminder that we have our current challenge running "ANYTHING GOES".

We have had some fantastic entries and at the time of writing this post we've got 30 entries so far with a combination of those on email and from blogs.  WOW that's amazing and we're only half way through the month as well!  Still time for those that haven't already entered...

Unfortunately we have had some entries that have had to be deleted because they have not followed the rules.  Can I just remind everyone that this challenge is for Clarity Stamps ONLY and NO other stamps can be used.  You can, of course, use dies, embellishments, colouring mediums etc but just not stamps from other companies.  We don't like having to delete entries as we know how long it takes to make your projects so please ensure your card follows the rules before you enter it.  Thank you.

We hope you all enjoy your day whatever you're doing, and if you're having a crafty one even better.

What a "Gray" Day?

If you're looking for challenge 1 please scroll down to the previous post or click here

********

Well who's watched Barbara on Create and Craft this morning?  I know I have and enjoyed every minute of it.  Doesn't she have a laugh with Dean?  I had tears running down my cheeks this morning laughing at them, did you?

Hands up those that have added the Gelli Plate to their wish lists.

Loads of hints and tips with fusible fibres too.  Ironing it flat first, but don't forget the paper otherwise it'll stick to the iron.  To coin a Barbara phrase "ask me how I know"?  Then using your ball tool to mould into the shape of the stamp.  I feel a bit of a play coming on with this one!

Not only did we get all these tips and tricks, the laughs with Dean this morning and the delights of Debbie this afternoon, but we get the news that Clarity will be coming to our TV's twice a month too.  Starting next month we get Barbara back at the start of the month "in the classroom" on the Saturday, again on the Sunday, then we get the lovely Maria Simms mid month to get our Clarity top up.  Pure Clarity heaven....

Here's a reminder of the stamps used in todays' programmes along with a couple of samples:

Just a reminder that Barbara will be back on Create and Craft on Saturday 6th April with lesson 15 of "In The Classroom".  Here's a reminder of the equipment you will need for the show and of course the stamps that you will need to "craft-along-a-Barbie":

Please let us know what you thought about the show, how you've got on with the new techniques Barbara has shown you and what you think to the new stamps.

Challenge 1

Pinch punch, the first of the month....

Well after weeks of waiting the day has finally arrived for our first challenge, yeah!!!

We've already been overwhelmed with all the support you've given us since the Clarity Stamp Challenge site went live on the 19th January.  We've now got 112 followers, which are increasing every day, our ratings in blog world are at 160 and we haven't even released our first challenge yet - WOW thanks Clarity crafters!!!!

Now that you've had time to get to know the design team, have a look around their personal blogs and hopefully get yourself acquainted with the rules of the challenge (the 10 Clarity Commandments) we'd better let you know what the theme for this month is, hadn't we?

Anything Goes
(using Clarity Stamps ONLY)

We've kept it nice and simple for our first challenge just to get you into the swing of things, but please ensure that your project follows the guidelines to avoid any disappointment.

The winner of this challenge will be chosen by Random.org and awarded a £50 voucher to spend on the Clarity Stamp website.  We will also be hand picking a top 5 and showcasing their projects here on the challenge site.

Let's have a look at what the Clarity Stamp Challenge Design Team have created for your inspiration.  Hopefully there will be a few ideas and techniques here for you and a reminder of those stamps you've bought and probably not used for a long time too.  If you want to know which stamps the team have used, they will be listing them on their personal blogs, just click on their names or their projects and it will take you there.

There are a couple of ways of entering the challenge:
  • BLOG:  If you have a blog click on the blue froggy link below and follow the instructions, remembering to link to your blog post and not just your blog
  • EMAIL:  If you don't have a blog send a photo of your project to claritystampchallenge@hotmail.com and we will enter it for you
If you have any questions relating to this challenge please don't hesitate to email us.  We will answer as quickly as we can in the hope that we can all make the Clarity Stamp Challenge go from strength to strength.  We can't do this without you!

We hope you have fun with this challenge and we can't wait to see your projects.  You have until midnight on 31st March (GMT) to enter.

Please note:  This challenge is for Clarity Stamps ONLY all other entries will be discounted in the final draw.
